However, my plan is to transfer the CL of my US Airways to my Apple card and close the US Airways card. I've moved and I don't ever fly that airline anymore.
But US airways card will be switched over to AAdvantage card, and will be limited edition soon. Keep it as a special card... like Amex zync
Limited edition how?
I also just closed 6 "toy limit" cards. I really have learned a hard lesson. I never thought anything of having the cards that seldom had a balance report anyway though.

you can read more about it here
@Anonymous wrote:Thanks for the advice. I learned a lesson. I am going to attempt to recon with Barclays to reopen the account. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. I should be allowed to state my case though.
I'm sure you could state your case but they assess the risks, not you. However, at the end of the day, since they are the lender they hold the gold. You have plenty of choices, oh wait (you had eleven or twelve recently) where you can use your money. Barclays is not for everyone.

Limited as in you can't apply for it.

Oh, thanks for that info. I still don't know that I fly US Airways or American Airlines enough now that I no longer live in a hub city for AA but I will think about it.
Thanks Fin. I appreciate the reply.
Twelve new accounts in four months and asking them for a CLI? No doubt that is why they closed the account. Please do not take this wrong, however I do not blame them. That would raise a BIG red flag to me as well.
I got my Barclay card about 5 months ago. I called in right away to ask for a bit more CL, which was approved. The rep that I had on the phone told me that if at all possible, do not apply for any other cards for at least a few months, as they doing regular SP's to "keep an eye on things", as she put it. She did say that "good behavior" is typically rewarded by Barclay. Sure enough, they have done a SP on me every 60 days like clock work. ![]()
I would suggest that you do not apply for anything for a good year or two and let your current accounts ago with good history.
Thanks for the advice EW.
Next time don't apply for more credit
