Hey everyone!
So, I have about a week long trip to Seattle coming up. My Uber Visa is still at the $500 SL. I've had it a little over a year and a half now. I've called a couple of times to see if there were any offers. The first time, about a year ago, they lowered my interest rate. (Of course, this doesn't matter since I PIF each month and many times don't let it report a balance.) The second time the agent suggested trying to trigger it by starting a CLI request and canceling it. She said sometimes that will prompt the system to look at the account.
I'm wondering some DPs on if I just do the CLI online or on the phone. Do they just pull from one or all three? I have about seven other cards, but my Uber gets a lot of swipes because of the 4% food benefit. Will those others prevent them from upping me? Aside from that darn Crap1 Secured, they all have limits greater than $2000. Any other suggestions that can help?
I'd really like to use this card as my food card when I'm in Seattle, but a $500 limit will be quickly used and I'll be transferring payments over to them quite a bit.
Thanks!
If you're not using it they won't auto CLI it.
If you need a higher limit then you need the HP for the CLI.
A HP isn't the end of the world for a score and it won't affect 5/24 if you're looking at Chase. If you're looking at other cards that have different HP rules as long as you keep them under 6 in a 6 month period you should be fine.
Oh, I am using it a lot. I just pay it off so it keeps my utilization down, which I'm looking at around 5% right now. They get lots of swipes from me each month. :-)
I agree with the others to take a HP. When I did it was another pull on TU only.
Is it better to do it online or over the phone?

If you have a soothing, sexy voice then call in. If you sound like Pee Wee Herman than do it online.
I would opt for the phone since the computer low balled me at approval by 14K.

I really tried extremely hard not to LAUGH OUT LOUD, but I couldn't help it.

We really need more DPs to help you and to also understand why you got a toy limit card in the first place. This will shed some light on things.
