Same thing happened when me and the DW applied jointly Friday before last. Still haven't heard from them.
I wonder if the results are better if you apply in store.

The UW decision doesn't change just from applying in-store vs online. The only possible advantage is the ID verification step, but it won't swing the pendulum for approval if you do the application in store vs online if either applicant doens't meet the CCB criteria.
Called the Account Protection number and he located the app despite not having letter.. he goes on to say the app is stuck in limbo because the joint holder (me) the address was blank on the application (I doubt it because it wouldn't submit with missing fields!) but anyway... updated that (same address) and he said now it went back over to Barneys to make a decision (this isn't my first rodeo with Comenity so I didn't even bother to question a credit card application going to someone outside the bank to make the decision and just said thanks and hung up once he verified that the app "Cleared Verification".
I then called the regular Barneys Credit Card number and gave info and after an extended hold... Another rep comes on and I say again pending, missing info, pending... i don't get it.
"I can see hear that it does look like the application has been DECLINED at this time, but can't see why and you will receive a letter"

Results are always better in the store. I took a chance with them. I did the same with Saks. But Nordies and Neiman's said couldn't verify. So I will head to the stores to get the Nordies Sig Visa, Neiman's and upgrade my Saks to SaksWEMC in about 18 months AFTER I get my hands on that CSP & Fidelity! Since Pizza had such fantastic luck with Barney's, I decided to give it a try. Had no idea they were like the rest.
