Best Buy CLI Request and Waiting

I've been on a spree with CC applications lately and haven't been able to stop. So I made an impulse CLI request via the luv button with my Best Buy store card today after receiving my 3rd statement, without double checking the past myficoers posts. Didn't realize their luv button could be a HP and I got the 2-4 hours decision email. Ugh! Waiting games give me anxiety. I'm guessing I won't get the 5K request since I currently have a bunch of inquiries and may have requested way too early. Thanks myficoers for informing me Citi is known for being stingy, just wish I pulled up your posted advices before I was so impulsive.

I couldn't get the luv button to work, so I had to call in.  The original CSR couldn't help me (because of "computer issues"), so had her "collegue" assist.  I'm pretty sure I got passed over to EO/Underwriting/Retentions/some sort of escalation line.  They did ask what I wanted the CLI for, and I said I was shopping for a computer (which I was, and which I even bought from Best Buy, but used a different card).  This was 6 months and 1 day since my last CLI.  I asked to go from $3k to $5k, and the CSR had to put me on hold a couple of times, but was able to get me the entire CLI requested.

But from everything I have read and heard, this is definitely a card that will usually only increase every 6 months.

Thanks @OzMan1788, I'll limit my shopping there until I get an increase. Was it a HP for you when you acquired your request? And do you know if the increase every 6 months is automatic?

This is my 2nd CLI, and I had to request both.  It was a HP (seems that everything Citi does for me is a HP).  I have heard that you can get auto-luv, but I've only seen it very very occasionally.
