Hey I was wondering which method is the best way to apply for a CC, in the bank, online or over the phone?
It basically depends on what card you are trying for.
Well I am planning on applying for a few cards in march.
Amex ED
Chase Ink Plus
Citi Preimer
Barclays Arrival Plus

My advice is to "Opt In" for pre-screened applications. You can Google "opt in for pre-screened offers" and do that. Since you arent planning to apply until March, this will give credit companies an opportunity to pre-screen you and send you valid offers via email and snail mail. Its not a guarantee of approval, but it might help your odds vs cold apping. Also, if you have a bank account, sign in to your account and look under their "Offers" tab. Sometimes there are pre-screened credit card offers there.
As far as which method is best, I'd say apply online and do ALL the applications the same day. This way, the dips in your credit score will come after you've applied. For example, if you apply for 2 on a Tuesday, then apply for 3 more cards on Friday- chances are that your score has taken a hit from the HPs on Tuesday and that will hurt your chances of getting approved for Friday's applications.
Good luck!!!
Thanks for the info DMS I will get right on it to Opt In. I had no clue you could do that. I havent applied for credit in about 2 years and paid down my debt and my score has jumped up over 50 points in the last 2 months so I am hoping come March it will be good enough to apply for some good cards.
I don't think it really matter...your overall credit profile/income will speak for itself. I personally would do everything online.
