Best card to apply for next?

Hello...first time poster here.  I have been working for the last 2-3 years to get my scores up and slowly but surely I have gotten up to 726 on Fico 8.  I recently (3 mo. ago) received the Apple card with a $3,ooo credit line, and the only other credit card I have is an older card, Merrick Bank, which has a $1,400 credit line.  Which card should I look at next?  I would like to try and get a larger credit line, but I am unsure which card would allow me to do this right away.  Thanks for any help you can give this newbie!

Welcome to the forums @tmwardga

Little past history needed. Any BK or CO's? What went south for you to rebuild the past 2-3 yrs? That will help a lot.

Re: Best card to apply for next?

No BK or CO's, went through a hard spell after my husband went through colon cancer treatments. He recovered thankfully. After that, we moved to another state for me to accept a great job. Shortly after that, he lost his job due to the company eliminating the department. During this time, it also took us a year to sell our previous home. Long story short, we got behind on everything due to all of the above.  I thought I did the right thing by requesting hardship arrangements with every creditor I had, some of which required me to close the accounts.  So I've been working hard to recover from all of this. Taken a while, but trying to hold the course!

Re: Best card to apply for next?

If you haven't burnt AMEX, Disco, FNBO, Citi... They have good cards to get for rewards and can grow with SP for long term.

But as @FireMedic1 said, your history is the biggest factor for getting any reasonable suggestions.

Every file is different.  I got the Amex BCP and it opened a lot of doors for me!  I got the disco at the same time- it opened doors but the increases haven't come for Miss Dosco yet    Welcome- I've learned so very much here with this great and supportive group.

@FireMedic1  negatives which have now been paid off by setting up hardship repayment plan are: capital one, care credit (synchrony), Victoria's Secret, Gap, Credit One, and Nordstrom Visa.

Re: Best card to apply for next?

Thanks. Give Disco a pre-qual shot. Its pretty solid if they show the card. Good Luck!

Re: Best card to apply for next?

@FireMedic1 Will do. We are closing on the purchase on our home in about 3 weeks (been renting 4 years), so I will try after that. Thanks for the advice!
