Bilt Mastercard Status "Pending"

So I applied for the BILT Mastercard from Wellsfargo on March 4th. After I submitted my application, the status said pending and they would reach out to me for more information if needed. 

I received an email yesterday (March 5th) at 1041pm asking me to give them a call today. So I called them, and they wanted to verify my information. After they were able to verify my information, they said my application was verified but still "pending" and to expect an answer in 24 to 48 hours.

Does this mean I was denied? Has anyone else gone through this? I've never had a bank ask to verify the info and then deny someone. But I've also never had a card with Wellsfargo before either...

If you were denied they wouldn't have asked you to call. It's exactly what they told you. Have hope as you very well may be approved.
