BoA PC - odd slow answer

Ok so when I originally apped, either I hit the wrong link or it directed incorrectly.  Thought app was for Cash Rewards and got general BankAmericard for 99/500.

Had asked for PC originally after activation and told 'not eligible'.  Tried again a couple months later same thing, figured I wait to unsecure whenever that came up.

Managed to get the card unsecured and CLI yesterday - 6 months.

Entered chat to ask early this am and told by chat shows not eligible but to call for a CA.

Just called and spoke to a nice woman who said does not show it is eligible but she can "put in a request".

She read me a disclosure stating may or may not change from VISA to MC...May or may not change card number.....and that I will receive a snail mail letter about it.

If changed may be 2-4 weeks for new  change and to start earning rrewards.

Anyone similar experience????

No personal experience but have indeed heard that it takes 2-4 weeks for them to process it. They'll mail you a new card. The process is just slow with PCs for them.

Almost 4 weeks for me (over a year ago) when I PC the regular full secured card to the secured cash rewards. Around 3 weeks when I PC the cash rewards to travel rewards a couple of months ago.

Re: BoA PC - odd slow answer

Yup! That's the way they do PC. I've PCed my Cash Rewards to Travel Rewards and it took them about a month to finally mail me my new Card. About 2 weeks ago, I PCed again this time back to Cash Rewards and I have yet to receive my new card. But all the other stuff you mentioned (disclosures, mails, etc) are parallel to my experience. Re: BoA PC - odd slow answer

Just got an email today from BOA saying my Cash Rewards card has been mailed. Probably coming up on 3 weeks since I requested the change. I first noticed that my card name had been changed online to cash rewards then a couple days later the email.

No. Nothing like that yet.  I was going to PC old BofA account after the first of the year to the Travel Rewards since it's been sitting at 1k forever!  But the 1,2,3 Rewards went fine.  Did you try the credit analyst?

Re: BoA PC - odd slow answer

That was the credit analyst!  LOL.  She was very nice, did say the same thing, don't see it is marked as eligible.  But at least SHE took the next step on my behalf that she could and said "let me put in a request for it for you".

Regular CSR and chat just kept saying 'not eligible".....not eligible, sorry.
