Hey y'all, so I got a marketing letter for the Customized Cash card which would be great for the 2% wholesale club and 3% rotating (home improvement). Did the online referral link dealio and hit go just before I remembered I had both EX and TU on ice...
App was instant denied, and EX alerted me to a blocked inquiry.
Do to my forgetfulness which caused this, is there anyway to salvage this promo app, as I can no longer use it. Or am I out of luck, and would need to cold app? (I have no current relationship with BofA).
My other thought was to app Avtive Cash for the general 2%.
Thanks in advance y'all.

Thema in advance y'all.
You may be fine to unfreeze, call and ask them to rerun the application. It's not BofA, but I did forget to unfreeze my Experian on a Wells Fargo Active Cash pre-approval. I simply called in asking them to rerun the app, they did and I was approved for $7k. Anytime I have ever forgot to unfreeze they almost always use the original application.
If anyone knew for sure it would likely be @coldfusion .

Yep, thaw EX and when confirmed call in and explain what happened and ask if they can re-run the original application.
If the first CSR says no, HUCA in case your 1st attempt was with a lazy rep.

Ditto. When I applied for my BOA, was declined due to reports on ice. I called and they told me which report to unfreeze--did all this while still on phone with them and my card was approved. GL2 OP
I have been with BofA for about 28 years now. They are a HORRIBLE bank. I can post dozens of reasons why but it all comes down to the same thing. They are just HORRIBLE.
Thanks
Mark

And I've been with BofA for 30 years, and think they're a WONDERFUL bank!
I detailed it in this thread but, briefly, they've always treated me like a VIP, and have bent over backwards to help me when I needed it. I couldn't be happier with a bank, and don't plan on ever switching.

Let's not stray too far from the topic of this thread - how to help the OP get his application reprocessed (which was originally denied due to a faux pas on their part, albeit an unintentional one) such that the terms of the promotional link will still be in effect.

Finally got ahold of a rep in Underwriting services, after several hours collectively on hold last week. The first rep said she was able to re-run the original application after my report was thawed.
Apparently, BofA requires more information from me to finalize their decision, although neither person could tell me what exactly they were looking for, just to look for the letter in the mail, and submit what they ask for.
This is a first for me. Would love to know what they are needing, that couldn't be acquired via phone.
I'll update again after I get the letter.

Are you being sarcastic? Because if they are truly this horrible a question comes to mind. Why are you still with them?
