Bofa application and approval questions for multiple cards

Hi everyone,

So my ficos 8 scores are between 768 and 784 across the three bureaus.

Bank of America approved me 6 months ago for there customized cash card with the following info...

Inquiries 7/24

Open accounts 5

Closed accounts 7

High limits, always PIF 

Short history below 3 years.

SL was 5 grand.

With that being said, I tried for a limit increase three times and have been denied.  The 6th statement was just cut a week ago and denied again.  No big deal but wondering when this will change????  Maybe just wait until they do an auto increase?

Also my biggest question is,

I want to apply for one of there other cards, I hear that there's no issue in applying for multiple cards.  Do they generally approve if you've been PIF?

I WAS pre-qualified for there Atmos card on the atmos site.  I also pre-qualified for there spirit airlines cards.

I'm guessing they could either see it as I have a good relationship with them and good scores and approve me or maybe they will deny because of failing to give me a cl increase.

Has anyone had any similar experiences with any of these questions or with the airline cards in general?

if you apply you will be denied based on the CLI denial, don't know how long the wait is, but you need to wait. like literally the denial reason will be "you recently had a CLI request denied, go away, denied"

if you don't have a deposit product/investments with them with $5k+ (minimum), I would start there

consider the checking/biz checking bonus offerings

also assume their pre-qualify tool is bunk, they very often deny on it to those pre-qualified

I am thinking the same.

If they denied a CLI, then they probably wouldn't open another at this time.

I will look at it with positivity though, I have an account with them with zero Apr until next year and a pretty good CL.  With time it will go up, my income is. good.  I can't complain, so for now I'll stick to gardening.

If they're not approving you for a higher limit, that's not a good sign for getting a whole new account. Time, responsible payments, and more income might change this.

CLIs with them can be hit or miss at first, I wouldn’t overthink the denial - if you’re prequalified, that’s usually a decent sign, just don’t stack too many apps at once.
