Success using the facebook method.
Sent them a PM explaining that I wanted to apply for a manual review of my credit limit increase.
First response was a standard "Thank you very much, you can do so online, blah blah blah.
I responded, still politely and professionally, and told them that I was requesting a "manual review of my credit limit" as I was finding myself spending too much to stay under 30% utilization.
After the second response, they finally answered me back and said they were "forwarding my message to their partner department and asked me to verify my information and provide a good number where I could be reached.
I received a voicemail from the EO two days later with an 800 number and a "Security PIN" to call back with.
The person who left me the message wasn't available when I called, but the operator who took the call was able to help me with my transaction.
Everything that's been said before; questions they ask, reason for the increase, what limit do you want, will you accept a partial limit, etc., etc., were exactly as reported by other members. The woman on the phone was BEYOND polite and professional compared to that of Capital One's outsourced, standard-issue operators!
I was informed that I would receive a letter in the mail responding to my request in 5 to 7 business days, but that I could log onto my account and just look at my credit line anytime to get an answer sooner.
24 hours later I logged back on and found that although I didn't receive the full limits I'd asked for, they'd doubled the limits on both of my cards.
Highly recommend taking the facebook, patience, polite and respectful path to get your increases out of Capital One when the luv button or operator from India gives you nothing!
I have spoke with EO as well , still waiting for results of yes or no .
