Will it matter if a apply for CC right after I get a new loan? Want the CC for adding to my credit mix, the SUB miles, and long term account ageing/bullet proofing as plan to keep is around.
Wait set amount of time or does it matter?
Based off into I got from here, you can do the card right after the loan. I recently did this, but for my own sanity I waited until the check was in the mail. Haven't had any issues.

I don't think it would matter unless you're dealing with a creditor who's extremely sensitive to inquiries.
Are the CC and loan from the same or different creditors ?
Different. My quandary is for all practical purposes my existing Chase United and Marriott cards are all I need. I'd like to get sapphire from chase but want to diversify my CC lenders so right now leaning towards Capital one card.
I like more than one bank too. Also, more than one payment system. If you go capone, I find savor good for restaurants with no fee and it's mc not visa. I also like amex bce, no fee, and it's not visa either. Both also offer fairly high rate regular savings, amex even offers 1% on their checking.

Not easy for me to choose a card. With my spend and lifetime status at both United and Marriott most travel cards don't beat what I currently get for hotel and airline miles.
I put all my send on my United card and only hotel stays on United. I need another card or two for credit mix and letting them age to compensate for paid/closed accounts that will drop off over the next 4-5 years.
