I got the CSP in December. I was low 700's, 2/24, 37 major derogs, 7 months of heavy spend/PIF on the Amazon plus I opened a checking account in September.
Without knowing your current DPs, I can't say, but your scores dwarf mine.
Thanks for the info! I had one 90 day late in mid 2013 so I'm not too worried about that - besides that never been late or had any other baddies. I got my Chase Freedom Unlimited in March 2018 so that's past the 24 months and I got a Chase Business Ink last year but from what I've heard that doesn't count towards the 5/24 (it's not on my credit report) so I'm only 3/24 if those two don't count. I usually use household income on credit apps (if they allow it) and that's about $140k. I am trying to PIF more often now but don't have a history of doing so. I do have a lot of inquiries - EX: 10 (1 should've dropped off on 3/13), EQ: 5, TU: 6. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and try for it... hoping to get a nice SL of at least 12-15k. Is the CSP metal?
It's a metal core sandwiched between two very thin layers of plastic. Very solid feeling card.
Thank you!

I bank with Chase, signed up for credit journey and they presented 4 offers - Chase FU, Chase Freedom, Slate, and Chase SP. On the Chase app it would say "you are already approved" for a 3k limit with the Chase FU. I didn't go with that card instead I chose the Chase Freedom and was approved for 4.8k. I think Chase is pitching a soft ball with the prequal, given their UW history I would say it's more like a nudge to go ahead and apply. "No guarantees but wink" kind of thing. Good luck either way, the SUB is $200 for a 500 spend in the first 90 days on Chase FU and Freedom, I tacked my phone bill and a few other bills should be worth the return on 0% interest in the first 15mo.
Ya I think if u bank with them or already have a credit card with them the pre approved is different and easier.

Different, yes in the sense you can see your offers in the banking portal. Easier, not necessarily. I bank with them and have no offers (never have.) I would certainly think they'd approve me for the Freedom if I applied, but their prequals show a different story.
@Remedios wrote:9% is perfectly fine and it shows some use on your cards.
There is no need to go ultra low utilization at all.
If your aggregate was over 29%, I'd say wait for a better result, but 2% vs 9%, that's totally up to you, however very little need to do so.
I agree. I think you should apply. Ther only thing I would caution on is Chase has been EQ/EX for me, not TU.
@seattletravels TU is typically used when applying for "prequalified" offers, usually in conjunction with another CRA
Blind apps and preapprovals could be any CRA, or combo of two CRAs.

I wouldn't know. I've never had a prequal from them.
