CITI SL?

So mom is narrowing down her list for a new credit card. We are looking at Citi because she likes the prequalifed rate (14.74)... Citi double cash card. Can anyone shed some light on the SL she may recieve. Score according to citi free EX is 778. Income 6 figures. Highest SL: CSP 25K

We just dont want pull trigger and get some ridiculously low limit.

Amex ED: 8K, Macys Amex: 4K , BOA Premium Rewards: 60K , Best Buy Visa: 7K , VACU Mastercard: 11.5K Discover: 25K, Amex Delta Reserve 15k, Apple Card:3.5K, Saks WEMC 16.2K, PNC Cash Unlimited: 20K

Re: CITI SL?

Unfortunately, there's no actual method to gauge what SL your mom will receive. Citi's DC has several outliers depending on an individual's profile. So, just because she may have CSP at $25K, it doesn't necessarily mean Citi will match that, especially on the DC product - too many variables OP.

That being said, SLs range anywhere from $500 to $25K. Only way to know for sure is when she applies.

Re: CITI SL?

Its really hard to say...Does she have any other credit, like what does the rest of her profile look like? Util? new acts? Inq? My guess is min $3k-$10k.

Credit is super mixed. AAoA 5 years UTL like 3% and only 1 new account in 24 months, Inqs between 2 to 8 depending on bureau. Only one from Credit Card the rest are from Mortgage.

Re: CITI SL?

No matter how good a profile, with Citi you roll the dice. Good thing though are sp cli every 6 months if you qualify AND some who do get one off the bat often times can then use another hp to get even bigger limit.

If you dont want to play the odds, always card available that start off high for people with high limits and income.

Re: CITI SL?

I was just approved last week for the DC card with an SL of $3100.  From what I've been told, that's actually a really good starting one with Citi.  Here are my DPs:  EX at the time 742, 3 inq, AAoA around 2 years, Util 21%.  They also offered me the same APR rate as well.  Hope this information helps out a little.

BCE AMEX ($16200) - Citi DC ($11600) - Chase Sapphire Preferred ($10200) - Nordstrom Visa Signature ($10000) - Best Buy Citi Visa ($9950) - Chase Freedom Flex ($7700) - NHL Discover IT ($7000) - Apple Card ($6000) - Delta Gold AMEX ($6000) - Hilton Honors AMEX ($5000) - Barclay View ($5000)

Closed - Capital One Secured ($500) - It is not in my wallet. :-) - Sony/Sync ($2400)

Goal - To get in with Chase. Smiley Very Happy (ACHIEVED!)
