When my 60 days is up, I want to apply for a CLI, but which card should I apply for it on, the one with the 25k limit or the 2k limit? Part of me thinks the 2k card would be more likely to get a CLI since it is so low (most of my credit cards have limits between 10k and 30k), but with of the talk about 3x credit limits after 60 days I wonder if I would get a larger CLI requesting it on the 25k card, and I can always reallocate sine credit line from the Preferred (25k) to Everyday (2k) card down the road. The Preferred card will be used much more than the Everyday card.
Which is more likely to give me the highest combined credit limit with AMEX? Thanks!
Clearly the BCP will give you the "highest combined credit limit".
But since 25k is more than ample, and 2k isn't, I would ask for the increase on the BCE.
I actually have a similar Amex dilemma on the horizon, about 3 months down the road, whether to ask for CLI on my 3k card, my 5k card, or my 8k card.
