Hi, a few questions about CLI.

1) How often can I request a CLI with synchrony bank?  I do not want a HP, only a SP.

2) If I was denied (balance is 0/20,000), can I request again and it will be a SP?

3) Can I request a CLI on a card that carries a balance each month?

I am trying to lower my uti.  I think I can get myself to about 54%, I figure if I can get a few CLI then I can finally get below the 50%.

Is this 0/20k on one card or a combo of cards? 

Which card is it? mc/visa/sc? 

How long has it been open? 

Date of last cli?

Yes, cli are granted with balances, ymmv though, just like balance % do, plus pymt history (minimum or more)...things like that.

The 0/20k is one card. It is a mastercard that we have had since dec 2002.  I do not have any late payments to them, and I did carry a large balance for a while but it has been paid for over a year. I asked (and was denied) the last CLI about 30 days ago.

I have a few other small cards that I requested a CLI about a month ago (and I was approved) and I wanted to ask for more.  I am trying to get my UTI to be lowered.  These all have zero balances.

I am just trying so hard to get below the 50% threshold.

@spedteacher1  I'd leave Synchrony alone for right now.

Your utilization is very high, they use VS4 trended data, you already got denied, and if you continue poking that bear, your cards may get closed. 

Wait 6 months (at minimum), then try again.

@spedteacher1 2002?  How nice!  Which card is it?  I'm truely envious....in a good way.

So it's been pd. off for a year?  Have you still been using it?  If not, hurry up and put a few small (necessary) charges on it periodically so they don't close it.  You've asked for a cli so be sure to continue with the pymt/usage history.

eta: and yeah, like @Remedios wrote....don't poke that bear.
