I just applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card back on Tuesday, and received a tentative decline because the date of birth that Equifax was reporting didn't match up with what I self-reported. I sent a copy of my ID to Equifax, and received notice that the information was updated in their system this morning, confirmed by a soft pull I did on myself...
Faxed and mailed my DL to Chase, but apparently that takes like 1-2 weeks. I also don't want Chase to run another hard inquiry, because they've already hit both Equifax and Experian, for whatever reason. I've called various numbers that are noted as reconsideration lines/executive support... basically just getting told to wait it out.
Travel plans next week, was hoping to have the card. Any suggestions for ways to speed this along? Thanks!

Welcome to MyFico
Its doubtful that you'll have much success in speeding up the process. In other cases where I've seen people having to send documentation to Chase the process is anything but speedy. Is there a local branch in your area. If so, I'd visit them and see if one of the personal bankers can assist you.
Good luck, try Irish's advice about going into a branch.
Good Luck
