My DW decided to apply for the chase sapphire preferred as I am over the 5/24 rule by quite a few.
She applied and it went to manual review
30 day message on automated line
When we called and the lady said no hold ups let me review the info etc
A few minutes later she came back and asked my wife some questions like old address, mothers birth month etc
She then said we need to send in proof of name change as credit report hasn’t update yet.
She said we would receive a letter in the mail for what we need to send but we are gonna go to branch tomorrow to fax things in.
Would the CSR asked for this info if there wasn’t a good chance of approval?
I called the auto line again and it’s 7-10 days however I think that’s because they need her info still
Also her scores are 760+ for all 3 no baddies almost 3 years of history.

99% of the time if they ask for docs it's an approval. Even after several calls and docs and 6 weeks it resulted in an approval.
Funny little things like that will make it difficult until the new info reports to the CRAs when you update existing lenders.
Small hurdle to overcome for an approval though.
Yup, 48 months is Sapphire products only. CS, CSP, CSR
You can always pick one up and forego the SUB if it's useful and worthwhile for your spend + perks.
Per Person.
household is a bit vague because you could have non-related people living at the same address and when the lease is up they could move apart.
So, if you've had the CSP/CSR then it would be 48 months from that date in which you collected the bonus. Even being an AU on hers won't count against you being able to get it once the timer expires for you. The AU would count against your 5/24 numbers though.
5/24 wont matter for me since it was 5 cards all within a month so they will all fall off around the same time.
Sounds good I plan on getting the reserve as I am travellling for work quite a bit and want to reap the rewards and sub.
I thought for some reason it was 48 months per "household" so me and my wife couldnt get it.
Thanks for the info
Yeah, if you can really put the spend on it then I'd make a trip to a branch and see if you have a pre-approval for it. CSR doesn't popup when you look for it under pre-approvals, only at a branch. If it's showing at the branch there's a good chance you can get it if you have existing lines at or around 10K and over a year of history on them.
Looking at your signature here you'd be a prime candidate for an approval.
IIRC there was one guy that only had AU accounts reporting and a mid 7's score that got 15K out of them on a CSR.
