Re: CFP Application

I am at over 5/24 for another year or two.

However I have that history with the cards etc.

Discover at 22k, NFCU at 25k, Penfed at 10k, Savor at 15k etc.

I plan to be an AU on the Preffered until I am under 5/24 then apply for the CSR in branch at that time.

I think if I tried no I would be SOL

Re: CFP Application

If being an AU helps meet the spend requirement then do that and then take a trip to the branch for a pre-approval even if you're over 5/24.

The branch is how you get around 5/24 issues.

Re: CFP Application

Sounds good.

We will meet that spend in about 1.5 months at most.

For the branch I just signed up for a checking account with them.

Should I wait before I ask for a pre approval in branch or just wait a while and check like every couple months

Re: CFP Application

I am thinking of asking to see if there are any when we drop off documents for DW

He put in my info from DL etc and said no offers popped up.

Looks like ill be an AU for while now.

Re: CFP Application

Not a big deal since CSP earns pretty well when you have 2 people working on it.  Give it a bit and check again when you're in branch.  Could be a month, could be 6 months.  Hard to say since the in branch system works a bit different than the JFY offers you see when you sign in.  Those tend to follow 5/24 optimizing criteria moreso.  The in branch looks more at profitability of a customer.

CSP Application Update

Hopefully good news.

DW applied last week for a CSP on Thursday the 18th,

It went to we need more to review so I had her call the backdoor number.

We had just gotten married and moved so her info was different from the CRA's

They asked her questions then said they would send her something in the mail for more info.

Status had changed from 30 days to the 7-10 day message.

We got the letter on Monday and it said the needed to verify her name so we sent in

DL,SSN, Marriage certificate etc.

This morning I called in and it has switched back to the we will let you know in 30 days.

Hopefully this week or early next we will know if she was approved or not.

Data Points

All fico 8 760+

2+ year AAoA

One 5k Card and one 25k Card

Re: CSP Application Update

It's normal to flip flop between messages when there's a pending action.  30-day / 7-10 / 30 day / 2-weeks.....

Safe to say it's an approval.... just doing due diligence to make sure ID matches everything submitted on the app.  Banks don't waste time jumping thorugh hoops to verify info for a denial unless somehting substantially doesn't match with the info provided.
