CSP Approval Odds?

My fico 8 scored are:
737 EQ
745 TU
732 EX
my utilization I believe is 27% but I just paid it all off today.
I am under the 5/24 rule.
I have four cards
Capital one secured card 300 CL
Capital one student card 300 CL
Guitar center card 2200 CL
VS Card 700 CL
Income: 30K
Credit History avg is 2 years
(I’m 20)

What do you think my odds are?

Re: CSP Approval Odds?

CSPs CL is $5k minimum. No previous exposure to 5k may reduce your chances. I'm not sure if Chase takes age into consideration. Also, I'm not sure if store cards are considered as well. I'm sure someone else would know.
Have you checked Chase's Pre-qualification page?

Unfortunately, its very unlikely that you would be approved.

Re: CSP Approval Odds?

30k income and age / length of credit will probably hold you back.

Just some food for thought.. are you sure a card with an annual fee will get enough use to justify it with a 30k income? Will you be able to hit the minimum spend for the bonus? Have you run the numbers and seen that the extra points for travel and food will justify the cost? 3x points is good but how much of your spending falls into the travel categories and not something else? A good all around 1.5 no fee card may be way better. Not criticizing, I just don’t know your situation.. maybe you travel a lot for work and get reimbursed, so a good travel would make sense.

Re: CSP Approval Odds?

The CARD Act of 2009 restricts how creditors can use age as a factor in credit decisions.  While you cannot be denied credit due to age if you're at least 18 years old, you will be asked to demonstrate that any declared income is actually earned by the application if he/she is under 21.

Re: CSP Approval Odds?

I actually travel about 1/4 to half the year abroad which is why I reaaally want the CSR but know I will get denied. I got my first captal one cards because I was going abroad but the limits don’t increase maybe because they’re student cards? Idk! I also make more than 30K but I’m a server and most of it is from tips which don’t show up on my paystubs. I also live with my boyfriend so our income together is around 80k but I can’t include his income because i’m not 21! Smiley Happy

Re: CSP Approval Odds?

What about the freedom? I would like to start building credit so I could eventually apply! I was considering maybe applying for another card outside of Chase but I feel like it would be a waste of a hardpull because I want to use the freedom and CSP as a duo.

Re: CSP Approval Odds?

When I go to the Chase prequal page nothing shows up! It says I have to opt in, but I think it has to do with the fact i’m not 21 yet!
