Had requested the above about 5 days ago to take advantage of a 0% BT until Nov. 2016 offer I received. Called the number on back of the card and learned the request had been declined. Requested to speak to UW and was told simply it was for recent INQs and accounts opened this year (7 accounts-8 INQs) which is true. So I'm guessing app-ing for a CLI with their dedicated cards is subject to the same 5 in 2 year rule for new applications. No biggie--I also currently have 3 other 0% BT offers from Discover, FNBO, and FIA all of which have longer terms (FIA goes until March 2017) and higher existing CLs on the cards--so they will get my BT business. Only thing I am sorry about is taking a HP for it-but that's what happens when you decide to roll the dice!
Sorry to hear about your declined request. Thanks for sharing.
So sorry, OP. It can sure happen. I am not "poking the bear," "stirring the pot," or any of those phrases lol for a year. I have too many of everything.
Also forgot to add: Too many balances on existing accounts was another reason given. Albeit most of them are $300 or less. Right now on EX and EQ I'm at 8% UTL acroos all CCs. And I was instantly approved for Hyatt late in August--go figure! Since my mortgage is now paid, I've been SERIOUSLY concentrating on getting UTL below 5% but more importantly cutting my total CC debt by half--or down to $7000 or less by next Spring.
Sorry to hear about the decline, but thanks for the info. A CSP is in my future, but not until I can find the time to stop getting other cards with sign up bonuses
Good luck on the continued pay down of debt. I've got a ways to go myself.

You could always apply for a co-branded card you might be able to use and transfer some of that CL to the card you want to use it on. Bank of america cards use a 4% fee on their BT promotions from what i have seen

Thanks for your suggestion signaturecardmember and for the input everyone. I'll just use one or two of the other BT offers I've been presented with. I do plan to app for another Chase card, but not for some time until my EQ score rebounds somewhat.
Sorry to hear CH. I know all too well about that CSP and lack of CLI. My ride with Chase has come to an end. That last app last night is stuck out in limbo somewhere.

I read about that earlier 12njoy. What card did you go for this time? I still plan to do Marriott but not for a while. Might even try to get the business version.
