Called into the status line and it says all 3 of my apps are in review, so at least CSP doesn't say denied my friend at the branch said they respond via email directly to the banker who submits the special consideration request, so I'll probably hear back on that one before the other 2 most likely. I'll update when I have some news!
I agree that the 5/24 rule is ridiculous. It should at least be a bit higher since there are tons of credit cards out there.
Adding to this, I just suffered from this rule from being a AU, I was transferred to 2 different reps, the first one was having a bad day and transferred me to another rep, I'll just leave it at the because the second rep apologized for her being rude. It Was weird.. The second one spoke to me for a few minutes and gave me the only reason for denial was from new accounts, oh well.. I still have a freedom, but it isn't my own. I'll just stick to my AMEX. Kinda of upset but it's eh in the end,
good luck OP, hopefully it works out, and you can get all three!

I didn't realize that they count AU on the 5/24 rule? Is that something new?

Ok I'll try that. Thanks so much! Those analysts clearly aren't my friend lol I'm going to try and do the special consideration on the CSP in the mean time. Hopefully no one picks up the Marriott app while reviewing the special consideration and declines it. Should I wait for an approval on Marriott before doing the special consideration on CSP or no difference?At this point I wouldn't sweat it. If you think you have a way in to get the CSP..go for it! All they can say is no.
Good luck!! I expect to see a Marriot approval in the approval section within a week or so. lol
As suggested, I would still follow up with the CSP through your branch channels and see if that yields something fruitful.
And for Marriott, whatever you do, do not call verifications or lending/UW. Just call the status line 1-800-436-7927. At the prompts, press #, 3, 1. That shoult tell you where it is. A 30-day or 2-week message is a good sign.
I was approved for Marriott at the 30th day. However, others have had their approvals in much less time (I just happend to have a "few" accounts and lots with Chase
)
So, just called the status number again. App #1 (CSP) says 2 weeks, app #2 (CLI) says 2 weeks, but APP #3 (Marriott) says 7-10 days...you mentioned 30-day or 2-weeks is a good sign, but is 7-10 days not a good sign? lol I feel like a little girl waiting for a boy to call her hahahaha

Another Chase rule: They don't like to consider more than two applications for credit cards in a 30-day period. Don't ask me how I know that! The two-week messages are a good sign; that usually indicates approval. Your third app may be declined simply because you asked for too many new cards within 30 days...

The first app is recon of a denied CSP due to 5/24 rule, the 2nd is a CLI on an existing card. Do you think that rule applies to 2 "new card" applications or just 2 of anything applications? Either way, I'd be STOKED if they approved my CSP and CLI on Freedom, cuz that's what I really wanted from the beginning. The Marriott app I only submitted cuz I figured eff it why not since they already did the HP lol
Sounds like we need a Chase rules sticky
