Re: CSP DECLINED with 740 Credit Score?! Really, CHASE?!

Should I call verifications or an analyst on Monday to move the process along or leave them alone?

I'd just give it a week. There's a status line you can call. I don't have the number available at the moment. Calling the verification dept. should be OK. I'd skip the lending side though.

Ok I'll try that. Thanks so much! Those analysts clearly aren't my friend lol I'm going to try and do the special consideration on the CSP in the mean time. Hopefully no one picks up the Marriott app while reviewing the special consideration and declines it. Should I wait for an approval on Marriott before doing the special consideration on CSP or no difference?

At this point I wouldn't sweat it. If you think you have a way in to get the CSP..go for it! All they can say is no.

Good luck!! I expect to see a Marriot approval in the approval section within a week or so. lol

As suggested, I would still follow up with the CSP through your branch channels and see if that yields something fruitful.

And for Marriott, whatever you do, do not call verifications or lending/UW.  Just call the status line 1-800-436-7927.  At the prompts, press #, 3, 1.  That shoult tell you where it is.  A 30-day or 2-week message is a good sign.

I was approved for Marriott at the 30th day.  However, others have had their approvals in much less time (I just happend to have a "few" accounts and lots with Chase Smiley Wink)

PHEW! Good to know! Thanks. I'll just try calling the status line then. My email that confirms receipt of my app says 30 days from them, so we'll see. My only concern with the app taking that long was that they might change policy at some point for the 5/24 to impact co-branded cards as well but IDEALLY that won't affect cards that had an app submitted prior to that date. Who knows.

I reached out to a friend of mine who's a branch manager at Chase still and I'll see if he can help out with the special consideration and get anything done. He's great at nagging and conniving people so if anyone can get it done for me it's prob him Smiley LOL

Yes, use your best arsenal at your disposal.  Worse they can say is no, but at least you still have that option open on the table so why not? Smiley Tongue Let us know how things turn out on both fronts.
