CSP application - 2 weeks notice - ????

So I pulled the trigger and applied for the CSP. I was on the roll with Discover and Amex this week so I said why not.

I received the "we will need to review your application little longer...should receive your card in 7-10 days if approved".

Didn't get the dreaded 7-10 day notice, which usally a denial from what I read throughout the forum.

I also got an email saying a decision will be made within 30 days.

I called the status line and got the 2 weeks notice if I'm approved or not

What are my chances of approval?

I am planning on calling to recon if I'm not approve, but I just wanted to see if people received these same kind of messages and what where their results.

If status line say "2 weeks" your chances are very good. Each time mine said that, I was approved.

In my experience, the '2 week' message has been a good sign too. About a month ago I applied for the CSP on a Thursday, got the 2 week message via the automated system, and the next Monday it turned into a 'You've been approved' message.

How many new credit cards have you opened in the past 24 months?

All 4 of my Chase cards were the same way and approved after a few days of getting 2-weeks on the status line.

There were a couple of denials, and those got the 7-10 message on the phone.

I think your chances are pretty good!

2 week message usually leads to approval. Not guaranteed, but more likely.

Re: CSP application - 2 weeks notice - ????

My last Chase app was a 2 week notice over the automated line as well. It was approved a few days later. The 2 weeks is usually a good sign, but it's not a guarantee.. I think you're good since the automated line states 2 weeks.

Re: CSP application - 2 weeks notice - ????

My recent CSP application was similar. Got 7-10 day message after application. However, both email and automated line said 30 days. I was approved next morning.

Since you're not getting 7-10 days on automated line, your chances are good. Hold off on calling to recon until you know the decision. Good luck!

Just called the status line. It changed to 7-10 day message. Time to recon I guess.

Should I call the App recon or Credit Analyst recon on the backdoor list?
