CSP application

I applied and called in and they are requesting proof of identification.

Is this good or bad?

Thanks,

Re: CSP application

Probably neither at this moment.  I app'd on Saturday and got the same result.  Verification department wanted me to FAX in my ID.   Did that on Monday and I am still waiting for a result.  With my scores and recent accounts, I don't expect to get the card at all, so I don't believe going through ID verificaiton is some indication that you're in the clear.  Although people are known to get approved as soon as Chase gets your ID into the system.

Re: CSP application

It is good.. If you provide it and they get it and can read it then it is an approval.. Sometimes it takes longer for some then others.. I have had to go through verification on both of my approvals, but mine were just questions.. Some people they request DL/SS card etc.. You should be good to go.  Provide it ASAP then patience is key if it is a physical fax to them, if it is just questions they will approve you right there.

I agree.. Lately, verification does not equal approval.. It can go either way.

Re: CSP application

I was in a similar situation.

Applied yesterday (Chase and Amex).  Chase did not have instant approval, so I called in and they stated that they needed to verify my identity.  I faxed in ID and a bill showing my name and address.

Called in again today to check on status, the recon rep told me the application was initially approved but then declined since they needed verification.  Now it's just a waiting game until they get the verification done.

Agreed. How many of these have we seen in the past week? 4-5? And this is only a small percentage of the total population so it's pretty indicative of some changes.

Re: CSP application

I don't understand why they need my ID after having a Freedom with them.  Just seems odd.   The suspense is terrible. Smiley Very Happy
