Hey guys. So I'm sitting at 4/24 on my Chase count. I've wanted the csr since it's launch but was never under, I thought now is the best time. I pulled the trigger and got an unable to approve at this time we'll get back to you in 7 - 10 days. I've called the back door number and put my info in. It says it need further review and they'll reply in 7 - 10 days. I'm thinking I didn't get an auto approval because I forgot to unlock my Experian report so it blocked the pull, but they pulled equifax instead. My question is should I call in and talk to someone or just let the manual review I assume they're doing okay out?
I have a banking relationship with them for about 8 years now and 3 other cards:
disney - 5k
freedom flex (pc'ed recently from csp) - 9.5k
ritz Carlton - 17k
Since the ritz has a cumbersome $300 travel credit and doesn't have really any of the good benefits form infinite anymore I'm looking to possibly replace that slot.
what are your thoughts?
@Anonymous Could be simple verification , you might be at the max credit compared to your income only thing is to call in and find out.
If you have a 7-10 day message you abolutely want to speak to a rep. Could just be they want to verify that it was you that applied for the card, or if you had PC'd to that Freedom Flex less than 30 days ago the change may not have propogated yet through all their systems and you got (erroneously) flagged for the 1 Sapphire rule. If it really was a denial you'll just recon and even there options exist including a reallocation of some of your existing credit lines to get the card (see if they will offer it, don't suggest it right away).
