CSR application

So I applied for the CSR and got this message, “We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We'll let you know our decision by U.S. mail. This could take up to 30 days.

Thank you for choosing Chase.”

I read that the 30 days message is “good” but what’s bothering me was when I call the automated hotline... it would say I’m approved but it’s for my World of Hyatt cc that I’ve applied for 30 days ago. No status about the CSR application. What does that mean?

Re: CSR application

Best guess is your CSR hasn't been officially processed if you're still receiving information on the old card you applied for before. Try again tomorrow and see what the status line says then. Might have to call customer service if the same message is there again and see what they can do for you.

Re: CSR application

The automated status line should have all of your application submissions from the last 30 days. If it's not on there today, I would speak with someone and find out what's going on.

Re: CSR application

I got an alert on my Experian that an inquiry by Chase has been made. I called the automated line and got the 7-10 day message Smiley Sad I guess I’ll call in a couple of days again to see if that message changes.

Re: CSR application

Call recon tomorrow because a 7-10 day message is a denial more than likely. 1-888-270-2127.

Re: CSR application

I actually just called and the rep was not that friendly and flat out told me that I was denied due to "too many recent accounts" and the fact that they just approved me for the World of Hyatt card last July. I'm 4/24 at the moment and wanted the CSR to complete my 5/24 spot.

4/24 info:
AMEX BCE 8/26/18
Chase World of Hyatt 7/29/2018
Capital One QS 2/8/2017
CreditOne 1/6/2017

Other cards:
NFCU CashRewards: 8/19/2014
Citi DC 2/12/2008

you think it's worth to call the recon line the 2nd time and hope I get a friendlier and more helpful rep?

Re: CSR application

It typically does depend on the REP you get when you  call ....Sometimes they just regurgitate the denial information and dont even try other ways to get you approved......Someone on this board was able to get the Chase Amazon Visa Approved after talking to thier 3rd recon rep.........

Is that a typo or the correct date? Because if it's right that puts you at 5/24.

Ah okay then yes try the HUCA (Hang Up Call Again) method til you get a customer service rep that can help or at least be more forward on why you were declined.
