@Ron1 wrote:Congrats!! I have both Lowes and Home Depot. I usually go Lowes to buy stuff because of 5% discount.
Ron.
Same here Ron. I have both but the 5% off is a much better deal for me

What was your starting credit limit. Got the pre qualifier just don't want a toy limit.
my partner cold applied and was approved for $737, called in and recon to $25k.
They are like Lowes, approval limit does not matter, I have never heard of someone not getting more if they ask!
I got the prequal, and was absolutly shocked after Citi declined me for everything else. I took it, "Available for purchase" limit of $1000, I'm guessing it may be a higher limit when it gets here? 22.9% APR. Gave me the account number, and temp CID, purchased a few handbars I needed for mom in the bathroom. Guess I'll see what the actual limit is when it gets here.

+1 I have both cards and the Lowes card is definitely better. I pay. Take 5%. Pay the bill ASAP.
Home Depot is for the 0% offers only, but I haven't used it for that yet. It's simply a backup for a home emergency
I must have a different HD card than most.
My card gets me 5% off of every purchase I make at HD when I use it.
I do have to check the box on their card reader so it's not completely passive.
For me they both serve a purpose. Not for actual merchandise as they have the same things inside the store. But both give outstanding limits for utlization One day i will buy a lawn mower or something like that. Just not right now.

Man, I miss that card. It was my 2nd store card... I cold apped in the store and got a whopping $800. limit. Called within 3 months asking for a CLI and was denied. Two months later I ordered some kitchen cupboards and had my first CLI to 5K. When the acct was closed in 2010 my CL was $25k. Unfortunately the acct was IIBK as there was an $600 promotional balance. However the TL never reported any lates and just recently fell off my CRs. Applied a year ago and was denied due to BK.
