If they pull the same credit bureau then yes the 2nd creditor will be able to see all inquires that are reported...... Most Inquires post immediately so if you want to have a good shot at multiple approvals try to have the lowest amount of inquires to start.... This is part of reason we garden...... To let inquires drop off to have a better shot at approvals and so it doesn't look like we're credit seeking
I just recently did a app spree and started with 2 inquires and got 5 approvals....
Ok, thanks for the info!

- I guess my question is: how fast do HPs show up? If I were to app for a US Bank card and then immediately app for a BofA card, would BofA see that first HP from US Bank?
Thanks!
HPs are instantaneous. Consider the application which is more relevant to be submitted first. That being said, US Bank typically pulls TU or EQ for new applications. BofA is generally EX (new apps). So, for your scenario, they'd be hitting separate CRs.
OP, from my experience, HPs are instant - I just did a small app spree the other day; applied to Chase (rejected, got instant email with credit change alert from Experian), then within 10min applied to Discover (approved, got 2nd instant email from EX), then 2 hours later applied to Amex (approved after a few hours via email, got 3rd instant email from EX). Overall, 3 HPs reduced my EX FICO 8 by 16 points.
I guess I could have applied for more CCs that pull from other bureaus, but most pull from EX at least a part of the time, because as far as I can tell EX is the most accurate of the 3, and from the ones that don't pull from EX I didn't see any CC that I was really in love with, TBH.

Ok, thanks for the personal experience!

+1
As I’ve already told the OP in his/her other thread, there’s a pretty good chance BoA and USB won’t be hitting the same CRA. So my advice was to pull the trigger on both!
I will be more concerned about the drop in AAoA when both gets approved and report than the HPs! HPs are way overrated IMHO. ![]()

I once got a CK alert of a new inquiry before the app page even finished loading a decision. So it's about as instantanious as possible. Probably around a second or two.
