To get the bonus you just couldn't of had earned the bonus on the CSP within the last 24 months. I don't know of the timetable for when it will report as closed on your credit report, but that shouldn't make any difference on whether you're approved or not. At least I don't think so.
I understand how to get the bonus, I'm just trying to find out if I actually need to wait 1-2 billing cycles from the time I closed my CSP to when I apply for the CSR? After doing some quick research, I don't see any mention of people needing to wait that long to app.

Got the answer from a Chase branch after they called-in to one of their internal numbers to ask the question. You have to wait 31 days from the time you cancel the CSP to apply for the Reserve as it takes that amount of time for all of their systems to update apparently. Had I applied immediately after, I would have received a denial for a Sapphire product already existing on my account.
Glad you got your answer. But that raises another question. If denied for applying for a "second' Sapphire product, could you recon and get approved since they'll be able to see that you really only have one?
