Cap 1 - CLI page lets you ask for specific amount now?????

DH just logged on to Cap 1's website for his regular monthly attempt at CLI - and the request page looked different.  This time it asked him how much he wanted - and some other details it hadn't before.  It states at the top of the screen that requesting won't affect your credit report.  The bottom of the screen under the submit button states "By clicking submit, I acknowledge I am willing to accept less than the max desired line amount if approved. In the event your credit line increase is manually reviewed, your final line assignment will not exceed your maximum desired line amount."

Has anyone had any experience with the new form?  Does it always go to review now that it allows you to ask for a certain amount?

Yeah its new. I was advised by another member that if they counter with an undeseriable increase to what you request, you should deny the offer and try again in a month. Rinse and repeat until they offer a desirable increase. I made the mistake of accepting the offer and will have to wait til August to try this method out.

That's strange...Just requested a cli yesterday on my Quicksilver and wasn't asked for a specific amount. I did do it from the mobile app so maybe they haven't updated that?...

So is there still an HP across all three credit bureau's when requesting a CLI or is it now a SP?
