Cap One QS 7-10 waiting… and waiting… and waiting

It’s only been four days, but seriously… it’s not like they are calling my references.

Does anyone here know what they are doing while I wait?

What’s their process?

I app’d several cards Monday and the inquiries have dropped my score.  Cap One Hard Pulled on Monday along with the others, does anyone know if they will be “looking” (SP?) again during the waiting period?

I

I would call them ... Mine went 7-10 days when I applied monday and I called them the next day and they only needed to verify if I was the one who applied. Then got approved a day later... Good luck

I agree with previous poster. I think you should call. I too got the 7-10 message. All they needed was to verify my identity (The fraud department called me that day). I called back a few days later and was approved.

 Thanks!!!

I did receive the "fraud" call about 10 min after I hit the send key on the application page.

I called this morning and was told they can’t tell me anything yet and someone will be in contact soon...

maybe I should be bracing for the decline Smiley Sad

anyway.....   still waiting....

No news is good. So hold out hope that it will be an approval. :-) And to answer your question in the original post, I don't think they would do a sp after having a done a hp while you wait for their decision. It's such a short period of time that it just would not seem that is something they would do. But, I'm still pretty new here and can be wrong.  Please someone correct me, if I am wrong.

It's true, no news was good news!!

I received and e-mail this morning from Cap One that my card is on the way.

It took 7 days. I applied for the card one week ago today.  I received one phone call about 5 min after I applied verifying my identity.  I called ReCon once and was told they had no in for me and told me to wait for a letter. And now, first thing this morning I have received an e-mail that says;

“Re: Account ending in XXXX”

Your new credit card was mailed today.

Thanks for being a Capital One customer”

That’s it, LOL.  I am happy to be approved. I have no clue what my CL is or what terms I was approved for, but I assume all that info will arrive with the card.

Thank you to all those who gave advise!!  I will call this a win Smiley Happy

Congratulations!! Enjoy your new card. Also, if you want to know APR and CL before the card arrives, you can call customer service and they can tell you.

Re: Cap One QS 7-10 waiting… and waiting… and waiting

I did call and  follow up!!

I was given a $10,000 CL the highest of any of my accounts Smiley Very Happy  I asked the rep what/why I was kicked into the 7-10 day wait and just curios what I was waiting for?

He told me it wasn’t an issue for them of granting me credit, but rather I was on the cusp of the CL being contemplated based on the CapOne logarithm.  The system kicked my application out for a manual review to determine the Credit Limit I would be granted.

And to think… I was stressed believing I was about to be declined.

I think this is good info to have if anyone ever gets the 7-10 day wait notification.  They may not be manual reviewing for approval, they may be trying to determine the best CL for us.
