My wife got approved for Quicksilver cap one for only 500 but her limit is 2800 for Cap one Platinum. She used about 1100 of that and recently paid it down to 600. Went to Barclay and applied and received 7-10 response message.... Have her call the Barclays underwriter now 866-951-1437 ( 24/7 Underwriting Dept)

This is everything when asking anything of Barclay. You have to call and ask. I don't dislike it but one must be comfortable with social engineering them into giving you what you want, even if it's just joining them.
if you want quicksilver for 1.5% cashback, you can try product change your platinum card to quicksilver. Try online chat and ask'em.
