Cap One found my lowest score

Went on a little spree once my FICO scores went over 700. I did it to get replacements for my secured cards that have done their job and need to be closed.

I got the first two cards I apped for, but Cap One denied me on my Venture One app. The reason I got in the email was too many inquiries. True enough, since the past year has been spent rebuilding (I think I now have 13 on Experian). But also listed on the email was my score. All three FICO 8 scores were above 700 before I apped for these three cards, but Cap One reported my score as 669. Well, I took a look at my score versions which I had just obtained from MyFICO, and it looks like they used by Experian FICO 3 score. It was by far the lowest score version from all three bureaus--a 669. No other score on any of the bureaus was lower than 698.

Re: Cap One found my lowest score

I'll probably not recon. I was hoping to average $5K per card for $15 CL total. I managed to get $13 from two cards. My next move with Cap One is to close my secured card and see if I can move the limit over to my QS1 card and get my deposit back. I'm guessing they'll only move the unsecured portion at best, but it's worth trying. I'll know tomorrow. Paid the balance off today through my bank, so I have to wait for that to show up on the Cap One website.

Re: Cap One found my lowest score

I tried to combine my secured cap1 1500$. Wouldn't let me. Closed it and got a check back. 😟

Re: Cap One found my lowest score

I think that would be your FICO 04 EQ score.

edit:

well, I had pulls from Cap One and USAA on same day and the scores matched. USAA pulls EQ04. But I did not pul my reports to see if any other scores matched my EQ04. so never know.

Re: Cap One found my lowest score

Also to note by the time the other apps were done its quite possible for a thin file to have dropped that many points in minutes

Remember scores are only a snapshot of that very moment/sec and minutes later the same CB score can be totally different from updated information and or HP's

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

MyFICO doesn't show the EQ04. EQ05 was 60 points higher than EX03. My TU04 was 50 points higher. (Both those have scales that go up to 900 instead of 850)
