Congratulations! We think you'll like this pre-qualified card offer.
QS1
Gives an APR
0% intro APR for 9 months; 23.24% variable APR after that
39 dollar AF
Also has the platinum with no AF
I'm going to wait till tomorrow so I can call during the day and ask for more of a starting credit line (I dont know what it will be)
- this wont cause a second HP will it, askign for additional starting?
Yes, the "Congratulations..." is a pre-approval. Good luck!
Edited to add that I don't think you can negotiate your SL with Capital One. You'll just have to wait 3 months and try for a CLI.
Total CL: $321.7k | UTL: 2% | AAoA: 7.0yrs | Baddies: 0 | Other: Lease, Loan, *No Mortgage, All Inq's from Jun '20 Car Shopping |

It's alway worth trying...But Cap1 will not increase your starting line.
So i tried the Platinum card first.
Approved at 3K 24.99 (yikes)
Called in and asked for more, was told that i could call back after teh card was activated.
Tried for the QS1 next
7-10 day message
Called in and was told "Here at capital one you are only allowed to apply every 6 months"
So it wasnt a "Denial" on CR, just an internal denial from Cap1
So I plan to Charge this card to 2500 of it's 3K limit every month and PIF (I make a healthy IT salary in Seattle)
In hindsight i should of maybe gone for the QS1 first as the rate was better (i dont plan on a balance) and the cashback would of been nice.
Wish this was a visa though so I could use at Costco!!!
How long should i need to flex this card before I can PC to a QS ?
Is there another card I should try to get two opened since Cap1 was only one HP?
The 700 in 24 suggests 2 cards...
Perhaps I'll ask NFCU for a CC after this one reports for 2 months (waitign on my account there to pass membership vis Navy League of San Diego.

Congrats on the Platinum approval, 3k is a decent SL for that card. And I probably should have warned you to only go for one card with Cap1 because they have apparently changed policy recently and now only one app every 6 months.
As for another card, what are you current scores, and do you have baddies?
No baddies beside ch13, discharged 2 months ago.

Your scores are a little low, and the BK is pretty recent. I bet if you use the new Cap1 card for a few months you should see an increase in your scores, and then you would have a better chance getting another card.
