Hello,
Yesterday I applied for the Capital One Venture card after seeing it as preapproved on their website. I got a message that my app was submitted and they would get back to me about my application either by email or in 7-15 days. I got an email today saying I was denied and would recieve a letter in the mail in 7-10 business days. I immediately called recon and they told me I would have to wait until I recieved my letter to see about doing the recon process. Is that the experience others have had with CapOne Recon? Is there any possibility of getting it approved?

Unfortunately, there is no reconsideration with Capital One, especially on system-driven decisions. The only times a reconsideration has worked is if an error was found on a specific CRA (from any data they may have accessed) or if there was an income discrepancy that was later corrected (i.e. POI/docs submitted).

In the few years or so I've been on myFICO, I've never heard of a successful recon with Cap1.
Once their algorithm decides, that's it.
Sorry about the denial.
As mentioned above, unfortunately there is no recon with Cap One. Sorry for the denial.
