CapOne preapproval tool

Do your reports have to be unfrozen to see if you're preapproved through CapOne? I filled it out the other day just to see if anything has changed but it showed no preapprovals. A couple months ago I did the same thing and it showed some preapprovals for various cards. Not sure why they're showing nothing now compared to a couple months ago as nothing has changed on my reports, if something has changed it's been for the better.

Re: CapOne preapproval tool

Yes reports need to be unfrozen, it still works with two unfrozen based on my experience, also use the pre-approval links found on the pages for the higher end cards, savor, savor one, venture, sometimes they produce different/better results

Right on. I thought they could be frozen. Will check again when my EQ is clean.

Pre-qualify is a soft pull so it should work... for the application you definitely do but the pre-qualify should be good.

Re: CapOne preapproval tool

I wouldn't sweat it if no preapproval --- their interest rates are on the top end of 27% and up. You'll do well to see what other cards offer and their CL increases are all over the place (most times not, even when you heavily use the card) -- I am thinking about closing the one I have.
