Hey everyone! I need some help with ironing out my Capital One Path.
Currently I have two Cap One cards:
QS1 MC [A.Fee $59] - Opened Feb 2007 - CL of $1500 (last CLI in March '15) - APR 9.8%
QS MC [No Fee] - Opened May 2014 - CL of $2250 (last CLI in March '15) - APR 22.90%
I just closed the third card I had with them which was opened in like April of 2012 or something like that but it was previously HSBC (CLI to $800 in March '15 from $500... psssfffffff... no!)
Anyways, what I want is a Capital One Siggy. I won't be applying for this card until a few more baddies and INQ come off within a few months, but want to know what route to take. I heard that applying for QS and/or Venture right now will grant you a Visa. I've also heard that you can get lucky and apply for both the Venture and the QS and risk having it on the same HP. The thing is, I don't need 4 Cap One Cards (barely need 3). I would feel silly apply for only one in that case though instead of for both. I don't want to close my older Cap One card (AAoA and APR wise) and I don't think it would be bright to close my No Fee card with my highest 'personal' CL. I didn't want to really PC to the Venture/VOne due to people who reapply usually get a way higher credit line and the perk of 20k/40k points to come with it. What's a good approach to this??
After reading that. the only one for sure to be Visa signature is the Venture. you have been with them long enough as it will not be a problem.. And i agree don't close out that 9.8% card. even with the outrageous AF. remember you can have 5 cap 0ne cards. actually i was surprised that the venture was Visa signature. i had no idea until i actually got the card.
Thanks for the advice!
Have you tried asking them to remove the AF on the QS MC?

^This. ALl that needs to be said haha. But seriously call The EO ask them to remove it if you have had the product for more than 6months. and then it will probably be the best Cap one card ive ever seen. Also ask for a CLI from them while ur at it. Not a hard pull. Just my 2cents. GL with whatever choice is made.
Actually I have not... considering it's been opened for 8 years, I think I've paid my dues in Annual Fees. I'll give them a call today or tomorrow and see if I can get that rubbed off.
Thanks Luke. I'll give them a call and see if I can take care of both issues.
Maybe I can even get an APR even lower haha I know I'm dreaming
