Capital One Inquiry

I applied and was approved for a $300 platinum card with them, however, their website said I was eligible for the quicksilver, so right after my approval I applied for the quicksilver and was denied.

I recently discovered both were HP on TU.

Is it possible for me to call them and request at least one of the inquiries to be removed?

If so what is a good number to contact them by? I'm assuming CS cannot assist with removals.

Re: Capital One Inquiry

Chances are they pulled double from all three credit bureaus. Your chances are slim to none to get any removed. You can always try one of the back door numbers. Good Luck!

Re: Capital One Inquiry

That is indeed one of the downsides of a Capital One app...they pull all over the place.

When I first started, I didn't know what I was doing.   I kept appling for their different cards to try to get an approval

I  had 8 or 9 inquiries from them spread over the 3 credit companies.

Yup they are bad with inquiries. My DW has a lot from them from her app and CLI requests earlier. Thankfully their CLIs are SP now.
