Were you waiting for a better APR because it's based off of what the Credit Limit will be?
I check Cap One prequal weekly. It's been the same QS1 and Platinum for a year now. Of course I don't have as good of scores nor have I taken a big jump recently. This just lets me know that when my scores get into the 700s and I check again they will offer me only platinums w/ AFs all at 50%+ APR.

LOL... Nah, I'm just expecting a lower APR due to my score update, and what's happened is the opposite, that's all.
I find it a bit ironic that when I was supposedly "riskier" they gave me a better offer; I'm only sharing as a data point.
At some point I might app for a Venture to get the bonus and a lower APR than I have now, but there's no hurry.

I was prequaled for the QS and venture a few weeks ago and now it's platinum and QS1 too idk why (nor do I care because I don't want them right now) but nothing negative changed in my report
Thanks for sharing that... at least I'm in good company!

Glad you feel that way about me ha
Of course I do!
Call the credit analyst at Citi. Could be a verification problem. They are getting a little weird with those lately.

Many people would, but I'm not messing with that one.
I've been at the same address forever, and my reports are now spotless (score they pulled was 750+) so there's little reason for them to be concerned unless they have an issue with something from the past. If that's the case, honestly I don't care to discuss it with them - I'll just take their denial.
If it's a verification issue they should be sending me a letter stating such; if that happens I'll respond and let it move forward from there.

My pre qual offers finally did change, but in a better direction, which seemed like should have happened long ago. Even though, I'm not planning on applying because I don't want the 3 HP's.
+1
I agree the triple-HP does tend to make one truly consider if they want the card or not (at least it should).
I took the triple pull last spring because I genuinely wanted a QS Visa, so it was worth it. For me to take another triple pull I'll have to have a pre-qual for Venture, and even then the APR will have to be considerably lower than I currently have on my QS. In that case I would do it, because I would get the new account bonus, a lower APR, and get to combine my existing QS into the new card - making it worth it.
Without a prequal it's just not worth the risk, especially considering there are other cards around with nice bonuses that only require one HP.
