Why not post it in this thread instead of being all cryptic. I know when I have information, I like to share, and I especially don't like making someone feel worse when I provide it to them. It just seemed like something that would have been a non-issue if it was just posted. I'm glad you though enough of me to be part of the in cowd.
Okay, that's a fair point, however, it's still published. I guess it makes sense, in a way.

The reason why it cannot be shared is because then it gets used for any little thing. Then they just change it.
Agree. Often times when something like the EO channel is abused then they adopt a different strategy for handling cases that are deemed of escalation or priority and the number gets changed.
I started my EO manual review today for a recent denial based on "too many inquires." I had 4, obviously not too many. You can reach the EO, you just call the number referenced in the original post and then you get transfered to a senior supervisor who then takes 20 minutes and everntually transfers you to the EO who then input for a manual review to be done and then tell you it will take two weeks and likely another HP, but they address your concerns like you'd do on a recon call and document for the manual underwriter. And then in two weeks you get a decision. It is far easier to recon with other banks. I just recon'd a BofA flat denial in their system for previous BK / losses into an approval for $5k with one call. Have done same with Barclays and others, but Capital One is a harder fish to fry, however, it can be done. The process is just longer. I like the bank less and less as it is very hard to get anything done with them like CLI and upgrading cards unless you have perfect credit. Note: I started with a secured account early last year, closed it after I got a QS1 (with a terrible APR and $500 CL), and now am transitioning to regular QS with a decent rate and terms and CL. This whole period has been about a year. We will see how it goes. I had to settle a Capital One account many years ago and it still reports as "paid for less" so the bank has been harder to deal with, but there are perks to having a decent card there.

Wrong. The absolute best way to get excellent recon service is by emailing their EO. After around a week a really smart and caring person will call you, ask you questions, etc., and then a week or two later they'll call you back with their decision.
