Hello all,
I have received an email from Capital One about a pre-approved offer for Savor One card. I do have a Quicksilver card from them for the last 8-9 years with no juice whatsoever...Thus, I would like to know how reliable these kinds pre-approval offers from Capital one are? And what are the prime benefits of this particular card? Most importantly- I have a freeze on two of my credit reports and only one credit report is open/unfreeze, and as we all know that Capital One does HP on all 3 CBs then what could happen- they will automatically deny my application, or would ask me to unfreeze other two credit reports before making any decision, or would just decide based on only one credit report? Anyone who experienced this situation? Thank you....

You will need to thaw all 3 if you want to avoid any headaches. If denied due to a freeze on any or multiple CRs, you'd be SOL as there's no reconsideration and they will not re-process the application even if you decide to thaw any of them later.
Pre-approved offers are typically reliable, but temper expectations on the SL, final terms and APR, if approved.
Let me just comment on the quality of the card. IMO I think the savor is their best card because it gives 3 pct cb on groceries and we all have to eat. I think Finstar summed the rest of it up I will add there are several versions of savor and the better they are the tougher the UW is to qualify for them. I personally would hit the cap 1 prequalify page and see if the savor is an option they offer, then i would feel more sure of the success of the app, ymmv
I got an email for a pre-approved offer as well. The APR was high though like 27 so I didn't even really look into it. Since I grabbed the VentureX in August and the Amex BCE in Sept I think I'll pass and let the 2 new accounts grow a bit.
i did not get pre-approved offer but they hit me with All 3 HP...
