I have her true fico on Experian 720. I'll have her pull the others if I can. She has 10 Inquiries on Experian (After the Cap1 App)
Hey OP, you got wonderful advice and congratulations on the Freedom and awesome starting limit! I noticed you said you needed a card that will report quickly, and if you're looking for another lender I would strongly consider Barclays. They are the fastest reporting creditor I've seen lol. I was approved for USAir card last year on Tuesday and it started reporting by Thursday! So just keep that in the back of your mind and good luck going forward!

Ok... We don't want to make the wrong decision so have her pull all 3 along with how many inquiries are on each. The credit game is about strategy. A good strategy in hand saves you headaches and crappy cards..
Knowing how many inquiries on each helps you plan carefully as they are some companies that are very sensitive to that etc... So have her pull her profile and report back.

Excellent idea!!
@CreditCuriousity wrote:very weird about your sister as Cap1 UW requirements are very relaxed and kinda strange about you as well w/regards to the Venture...
Have you sister try the Chase Pre-qualification site as well and see if anything pops up? Or possibly the Discover card or Amex?
Agree w/yes-its-me.. Find out Iniquires and her true Ficos on Eq/TU/Exp. Discover/Amex are usually the most friendly to people with thin files.
Just personal intuition but it feels to me like they've tightened the reigns on Venture suddenly. We're frequently seeing posts about denials for it with scores that were previously getting approvals for it. Just my guess though, no evidence or anything lol.

I've noticed this as well with Venture. If you really want to get a travel card with Cap 1, then maybe the Venture 1??? But if you are in with Chase, they have plenty of travel points cards to choose from as you grow. Congratulations!
I cannot wait for some Chase love - hoping for June next year with the BK7 off by Feb and no new inq in 12+ months.

I would apply and test that theory, but don't want that card
... Could be, but still see people getting big limits with meh scores. Who knows.. Could be many factors into this persons denials along with some of the others such as only 1 card in this persons care, although a nice CL.... Who knows, not enough evidence that I have seen.
*UPDATE*
I just called the EO for my Venture APP, and asked them about it, they said they'll do a manual review and shouldn't perform a hard credit inquiry. The reason I was denied was too many recent inquiries. I told them that I was trying to get approved for a loan, and the LO told me to come back after I open more cards. They said they'll look into it and told me to call back later on or wait for the notice in the mail .
Sidenote:
I'll have my sister pull her report as soon as she can (:
