Chase reports quite quick too. As soon as I activated the card, it reported the following morning. Amex is by far the slowest. I haven't seen a single one of the three Amex cards I appd for in May show up yet.
You could also app a second Chase card. If you do it within 30 day's, you might get it under the same HP as your first card. Tour second Chase app will likely go to review, but it'll most likely be a verification issue. Good luck.
This is definitely a YMMV creditor. I was approved for IHG on June 2 and it's still not reporting. I know for a fact that Barclay's does not play when it comes to putting it out there lol. That's why I'm methodical with my Barclay apps.
You definitely came to the right place! Congrats on your successes and good luck to your sister.

@Anonymous wrote:Hello All!
I've been a longtime lurker on these forums for the past 6 months and this is my first post!
Last night I went ahead and apped for the Cap Venture/Quicksilver as many have done on these forums these past few months hoping to get approvals for both, and a high limit on the venture. My FICO Scores as of yesterday are 706 EQ 693 TU 713 EX. I have 9 INQ on each CR because I was trying to get approved for a mortgage, and was told I needed 2 more cards before I can get it closed. The Quicksilver was approved for 3K, but they denied the Venture! I currently have 1 WF Cashback Card with a 20000 Limit on it, the balance on that card is just shy of 6000.
Any ideas on what I should do from here? Or what card to apply for now?
On another note thanks to everyone on these forums I have learnt alot from everyone here!
My suggestion would be a Discover IT or a Barclay Rewards

@Anonymous wrote:Honestly? I want to get more, but I think I should stop for now, and let my cards mature. Don't wanna do anything that'll lower my odds for the mortgage (: Thanks soo much for the help!
Very smart move

Capital one. kinda like are driven. I spend alot of time with my Banker.and she really gave good pointers, they like to push there products, when its boderline .inquires,it can good either way. i hope it helps

So my wife applied for the Venture card 1 week ago. Application status was pending. She already has the Platinum and Quicksilver cards. Got a notice in the mail today that she had been approved with a ICL of 15k. So it appears Cap One is still being generous !. Cards to be sent out in 2-3 weeks.
So I Heard back, they said that it is still denied on the basis of too few accounts. My Sister ended up apping for some cards and getting approved for 2 of them. Thanks for all of the help everyone! I was approved for the QuickSilver and Freedom Cards!!

Sorry about the Venture Denial.. Wow, CAP 1 EO got back to you quickly if you queried them yesterday. But congrats to you and your sister.
CAPITAL ONE IS VERY GENEROUS APR A LITTLE HIGH BUT STILL WORTH IT!
MUCH CONGRATS... LISTEN TO ME, USE YOUR CAPITAL ONE CARD FOR EVERYTHING.. PAY AS MUCH IN FULL AS POSSIBLE
> ANOTHER WORDS, WHAT EVER YOU WOULD SPEND IN CASH USE A CARD IF YOU CAN.. AND PAY WHEN U GET THE BILL, AFTER 2 MONTHS RE-APPLY FOR THE VENTURE ONE CARD!.. TRUST ME. P.S. YOUR MTG WILL BE FINE, DON'T BE SCARED.
IN REALITY YOU DON'T WANT TOO MANY INQ'S /HITS ON YOUR REPORTS B4 A MTG, YOULL BE FINE ... MOST BANKS KNOW YOU ARE SHOPPING FOR APPLIANCES, FURNITURE, ECT.
