Re: Capital One - needing 0% Intro and higher limit!

Thanks for the congrats everyone. I am still a bit shocked this morning.

Also I am not sure about the 5/24 rule with Chase. I thought about it last night and I've gotten a Walmart, Paypal, Barclay, Zales, Discover, and a CU Card all in the last 24 months. Nothing in the last 14 though. 12 months ago was a Mortgage and 2 months ago an auto loan. But I've definitely had 5 credit cards in the last 24 months.

Back to the garden I go for another 15 more months! lol.

Wallet: Chase $6,000 - Discover $1,500 - Walmart $2,200 - Voyage FCU $1,300 - Zales $2,300 - Elan Fin: $12,500(AU, reporting) - Chase $8,500 (AU, reporting) 1% UTL

Cap 1 Venture One.

The Venture gives high limits(10,000-20,000 even higher on ocassion) but it does NOT have a 0% APR period.

Venture One might give a 3,000-7,000(or more) limit and DOES have a 0% APR.

Make sure and apply for two cards back to back so you get triple pulled once for two cards. I did Venture then Quicksilver 5 minutes apart. Got 5,000 and 3,000 respectively. I can't seem to get the 10-20,000 approvals because I have no bankruptcies, chargeoffs, etc. File is clean. Seems to work against me with Cap1. Lol

+1. I agree Js, it seems like you need a past bankruptcy to get the 30k CL's. LOL

Re: Capital One - needing 0% Intro and higher limit!

Hope this helps, I was pre qualified for the Venture One at 16.99 also. Was instant approved for 10k. 12 months 0% Apr, no forex fees and no AF were the kicker for me.

I did not go for the QS, because it seems like they give out the 3k CL often. Good Luck

I hate the idea of an app spree, I like to use promo's when I have a use for them. Only so many 0% into cards (okay, there are lots LOL).

Perhaps I'll hit the Freedom one and if it approves with the limit I want and all i'll stop there. Its the card I really want with the rewards, intro, and a good everyday spender. The one I am an AU on has more than doubled in the last year since me and my fiance run all of our transactions on it. If its not what I want i'll go to the VentureOne. Smiley Happy I do like the idea of combing though with a QS for a higher limit. Maybe that would help jump the rest of my limits.  So maybe I will just end up apping for all 3, but hopefully stop with the first.

AAHHH, Hate applying for credit cards and just never knowing. haha.

When i picked up my Freedom, my AAofA was under a year. I was pre qualified, with low 700 Fico's across the board with no baddies. To my shock they gave me a Visa Siggy.

In terms of the 5 accounts in 2 years rule, its your call

You know, Discover is handing out great starter limits now. It's Freedom's competitor. It also grows faster and with soft pulls vs Chase hard pull increases which are CRUMBS.

Hard to use Discover in Jamaica, I think

Well, crap Didn't get very good results with the Chase Freedom tonight.

$6000 STARTING LIMIT!

Freedom gave you $6k?

You need to apply for an airline, or hotel card right now and then combine it to the freedom and just close it out.

Same with Venture One and QS... take both and in 3 months CLI both and in 6 months consolidate to just the 1 you want to keep!

Good advice CA

I'd lick my fingers for a 6,000 starter limit on Freedom. I usually see 2,000-3,500 approvals.

I agree. 6k is a nice CL for the Freedom. A siggy to boot
