Just tried to open a capital one account. I have 2 personal credit cards with them which are very small both under $1200, and a business account that is restricted that I have not used in years I tried to apply for a quicksilver card and got the message that I have too many Cap 1 accounts. Never heard of such a thing. Anyone know if I should call the RECON line and try to talk it through or just try a different company.
Thanks
What is your declared income?
How long have you had the accounts and what are your spending patterns on them? Do you carry balances on them or are they paid in full monthly.?
I don't think reconning will help, but you can try.
You could combine your 2 personals into 1 card and then apply for another.
It was just 13 months ago I had 6 cap 1 cards...Now a days things have changed...Whether its Cap 1 or NFCU. The belt has tightened.
I have 1 Cap 1 card thats 13 months old (combined all) and 1 I got in aug 16'. Two seems to be the limit now a days...
I get that same message and I don't know why. I have the QS1, playstation, and khols backed by capital one. I never called them to see why I just gave up. I was going to close the playstation so I could apply for the venture because I don't use the playstation anymore but said the heck with it. If you ever find out why please let me know!
5 cards is the limit last time I checked.
I had 5 at one time, so I know it is/was at least 5.
