Capital One...

So applied for the venture rewards.

Denied. Tried again 30 days later after my utilization went from 32 to 22 percent ect...

denied again!?

i have decent scores.

Equifax 688 Transunion 705 experian 698

i don't get it.

i froze equifax.. Is that why?

also the last denial reason was because of too many inquiries. I have 23 but only 5 of those are ones from cards. I recently loan shopped.

Any advice?

dont wanna just let this hard inquiry go to waste.

Last time ire I didn't get triple pulled so I'm sure they didn't this time thank goodness.

The freezing part might be it. I've been denied a bunch of times for these CapOne cards and I've had EX frozen each time. Last year when I got my Journey card, I didn't have anything frozen.

Re: Capital One...

Sorry for the denial but I don't understand freezing your CRs when app'ing.

Re: Capital One...

Usually it's because of inquiries and or negatives not on other reports. I'm not advocating it. But that's usually why.

Anyway as I always say. Frozen EQ usually means DoA app w Capital One.

Re: Capital One...

It could be one negative that hasn't been deleted yet that I disputed and paid for deleted. It's like 79$ but yeah.

Capital one ended up pulling Transunion which was 705... I'm so confused though.

Could be cause I froze equifax

Re: Capital One...

Why would you freeze it and apply for a card? Don't understand

Re: Capital One...

Freeze one, may as well freeze them all........if a lender sees a frozen report,  they likely know the applicant is trying to hide something........makes no sense to apply with frozen reports.
