Capital one secured card question

Quick question. I have had my capital one secured card since August 2012, it was beginning builder card. I started with 200 (full deposit) since then it has received two cli totaling 750. So my question here is should I cancel the card? I also have a Sony visa thru cap1 that is part of the credit step program and it is at 1750 now. I have tried a few times to get approved for quicksilver but I am always told I have to many account with capital one.. Any ideas?

How long did you wait to apply for it after you closed it?

Re: Capital one secured card question

It was about two days for my payment to clear on my secured card and for my available credit to update.  I got a starter limit on mine 500. But you look like you have a more established history. I just had my secured card and a qs1. I wanted to dump the secured and get my deposit back. Still waiting btw... But that was  less then a month ago.  Good luck!
