Care credit was one of my first cards post BK and it was a godsend since I had a chronically ill dog, who eventually became ill with cancer and passed.

I think I started around $1,000 or so and they gave some auto CLI's but then at one point we were desperate for more veterinary services, and they did a manual CLI for me to $4K.

I paid a BOAT LOAD of interest over the years and finally paid it off last month. You will pay dearly if you carry a balance (I think I paid $116 a month  payment, and maybe $25 a month went toward principal) but if you have a sick pet and it's your last resort, it can make a life or death difference. Overall I am happy with CCredit and will always keep the card. My furbabies are worth keeping it "just in case". I don't know about the increase. It is Synchrony and in my experience they only give CLI when they feel like it and 99% of my increases with them have been unsolicited after I used a lot of my limit and then paid it off. But best of luck!

I got 2 back #'s. The main Credit solutions # for some reason doesn't handle Carecredit. However, I was transferred over to another credit solutions back office and everything worked out. Thank You bodyboy1.

Re: Care credit limit increase

I had a limit of $5k and asked for an additional $2k. They approved it and then some. They brought the limit to $10,800 and the account was about a year old. If that helps.

Re: Care credit limit increase

I used the main number no backdoor. It couldn't hurt as long as it is a SP and not a HP

Carecredit is usually a HP and not a SP. 99.99999% of the time its going to show as a HP.

No SP

Re: Care credit limit increase

UPDATE: For those who are inquiring about Carecredit SP's

Within 60 days of account opening. Carecredit does do SP (no affect to credit report)

Anything over 60 days of an account opening is considered HP (small marginal effect on credit scoring)
