Cathay Pacific VISA Decline

I recently applied for Cathay Pacific Visa thru Synchrony Bank. I am currently overseas and the decline reason was High Risk Source of Application

I know from the forum Synchrony does not do recons but in this case should I call maybe complete the application over the phone. There was no hard or soft pull completed just a decline I’m assuming from the overseas URL

Yes, I think you found your answer, overseas. Try giving them a call.

Follow up I spoke with credit solutions at synchrony bank they confirmed application declined due to being overseas. They could not override the decline. They transferred me to customer service completed a new application over the phone but they could not get it to process. Spoke with a supervisor they suggested I reapply over the phone in 60 days when the original application will no longer be in the system. Live and learn always something new.
